Launch of Account Information Services (Open Banking)

We are happy to announce that members can now avail of Account Information Services (otherwise known as open banking) to speed up the loan application process.

Under PSD2 (Payment Services Directive) members now have the option of attaching your bank account to the loan application for statements only. This means that we will receive the bank statement electronically and we will no longer require hard copy statements or payslips from you. This will allow loan applications to be completed quickly online without the need for you to provide any further paperwork, unless requested by our Loan Officers.

Members who do not wish to avail of this option may, of course, continue to hand in the hard copy statements with the loan application.

If you are applying at the counter, staff will ask you if you would like to link your bank account rather than hand in hard-copy statements. If you wish to do this, they will advise that you should expect an email from the credit union with a link.

We can only access your bank statements electronically with your consent.
